Mark "Mad Geo" Gelinas, Sr.
I received my first set of Traveller for Christmas in 1978. I had heard a little bit about roleplaying before that, but it wasn't until I sat down and read those 3 books that I really understood and immediately fell in love.

Neither Adventure 1 nor Spinward Marches had been released yet, so right away, I was creating my own background and I haven't stopped since.  I do occassionally run a game in the official setting, but most of them are in my own.

After joining the Navy, I had more opportunities to run Traveller games.  It was also there I picked up the nickname Geo and later the Sr. tag.  This continued when I was transferred to shore duty in Virgina.

There it was that I first started  publishing material for Traveller.  It was also about that time that MegaTraveller was released.

I eventually had material published by Game Designer's Workshop and Digest Group Publications.  That relationship continued well after the release of Traveller: The New Era.

There has been a gap between the demise of Game Designer's Workshop and now.   With the arrival of GURPS Traveller, I did make an attempt at making the TIMES as an e-zine.
