We first saw the Old Expanses, it was in the pages of High Guard magazine by FASA. (Yes, I remember that FASA got its start by producing stuff for Traveller.) They produced about 4 subsectors before the magazine went out of publication.
We later got another look at Old Expanses when GDW produced the Atlas of the Imperium.
When Traveller: The New Era was released and GDW chose part of Old Expanses as the basis for the Reformation Coalition, I offered to collapse the rest of the sector with the view that it would be used in Path of Tears. They only used four of the sectors, two they created and two I collapsed, in that product, but I saved the files. I think the only changes I made from the Atlas was I added enough worlds so that 21 worlds would have 21 worlds.
I have the entire sector in an ascii file that contains both the Rebellion Era (1117) and New Era (Collapsed - 1201) data. However, they are not interlaced as they appear in the book, the 1117 data is presented first followed by the 1201 data for each subsector.
